Revitzky mainly works in linocuts, hand-pulling his prints in small editions. His work aims to evoke a feeling of mystery, where the familiar is recognized, yet some aspects seem a little strange. He also wishes to convey the unique, spiritual elements of nature. "Two Worlds" achieves the familiar with its imagery of two men on a bench outside, but upon closer inspection the strange, surreal elements begin to emerge through the landscape. "Two Worlds" is concerned with human nature, specifically how some people perceive their lives to be enjoyable, exciting, and mostly filled with light, while others, for one reason or another, perceive them with more gloom and experience them as harsh and dark.
Revitzky's linocuts are made with oil-based inks on Rives lightweight paper, and are printed by hand using a wooden spoon. Often, modeling paste is used on certain areas of the linoleum to create textural effects. After the paste dries, it is sanded and sealed with acrylic medium before being inked.
