Her early years were spent in the woods hiking with her parents, and it was from those experiences that she drew her inspiration. "Trees, birds, flowers and plants, water, wind, and sky have been the touchstone of my creative expression and it is to these elements that I work with greatest energy." -Judith Harmon Hertzi Moonflowers are revered throughout many cultures. Because they only bloom at night, they are a metaphor for the fact that out of the darkness comes creative blossoming. The large, trumpet-shaped flowers unfurl in the evening and stay open only until the sun rises.
