The subjects of Earl’s sculptures are based upon the lives and lifestyles of people in his hometown in Ohio. Earl has long centered his work on this community, painstakingly recreating many of the town’s eccentrics, while adding a surreal or otherworldly element. Earl both satirizes and honors the people of his town, as he explores his own place within this particular community.
