Veronica Naranjo's mother was Maria Barbarita Naranjo, her father Jose Dolores Naranjo. Her grandmother was Pasqualita Tafoya. The family lives at Santa Clara Pueblo in new Mexico, a location known for their pottery, specifically blackware and redware.
Veronica was an active potter starting around 1965 and produced mostly deep-carved red and black jars and bowls. She lived most of her life with her sister, Mary Scarborough. Mary made pottery, too, virtually identical to Veronica's.
