Walter Shealor was born in Washington, DC in 1951. His early childhood was spent in Canton, Ohio. In 1960 the Shealor’s business took the family to Colmar, France. Walt spent the next three years absorbing European culture and art. He earned a BFA in advertising at the Columbus College of Art and Design in 1977, and after a stint as a commercial artist, dedicated himself to watercolor painting full time. Walt has been a full member of the Ohio Watercolor Society since 1992. He has won numerous awards for his work.
