| Patricia Schneider is an Ohio artist who was born in 1954. Schneider attended the Cleveland Institute of Art from 1973 to 1975.
Schneider works with functional and sculptural art forms celebrating the vessels as a decorative object. The bold use of color pattern dominates her work, taking on the importance that is usually assigned to painting. She uses a range of techniques including hand build, wheel thrown and extruded parts. Under glazes for color and often low fire clear glazes complete the surface treatment.
