| Douglas Pasek was born in 1933 to Charles L. Pasek and Bohemian Pasek. He became interested in art at age 5 and went to a commercial art school. His favorite subject matters are land and
seascapes (with abstractions). Inspired by abstract expressionism, particularly Edward Munch, he self-labeled himself as a formulized abstractionist.
Pasek was a founding member of Ohio Watercolor Society in 1978.
