What major American city does not have a “Little Italy”? It could be considered a part of our ethnic heritage.
Charles Bell was an American Photo-realist based in New York City and born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His work was distinguished by the fact that the subject matter is depicted in a scale as much as ten times life size. The colors are the clearest and most vibrant that can be achieved. The subjects he depicts are primarily of vintage toys, gumball machines, dolls and action figures. Bell sought to bring pictorial majesty and wonder to the mundane.
