George Barrie, the Philadelphia printer and publisher, from 1893 to 1895, was at work on a lavish series of original etchings and chromolithographs detailing fine art from participating countries at the World’s Columbian Exposition. This series was limited to an edition of two hundred impressions.
We are fortunate to have the original painting by Johann George Meyer von Bremen’s work titled The Children’s Pet which has been placed next to our print of The Children’s Favorite, the etching by George Barrie.
